Jamming It!!
Jamming It!!
by Marylin Salgado
What type of music gets you into the workout mood? If you enjoy 70’s music, I’m sure you will love getting started to some Earth, Wind and Fire or the Bee Gees. Or if you are into the 80’s, Madonna has a good beat. The point is, it really doesn’t matter what type of music moves you, as long as it does move you. I’m talking about some good sweat, a few burning squats and some hardcore abs. For those, can I suggest some Dance Music and Reggaeton?!
What I have done is downloaded a few different channels in Pandora. To start off stretching, I listen to meditation music. Deval Premal channel is great, if that’s what you are into. Once I start working out, I change the channel to Daddy Yankee, Pit Bull and for us hardcore Latins, Salsa and Merengue. And you don’t have to be Latin to enjoy some good beats. For a good workout, they are absolutely amazing.
To unwind post workout, I’ve even thrown in some Mozart or Bach. It is relaxing, puts your mind at ease and helps with boosting brain power. So, if you are heading to night school after a good workout or work, try some classical music. It might not only make the class more tolerable, but it might help you retain some of the more challenging information. For your night owls, it gives you the boost to keep moving at night. And off course, try a post workout protein bar or a delicious Tokkyo Protein shake to supplement that meal that you might miss due to your busy schedule.
And as always, my friends, consult your physician before starting a workout program or adding a supplement to your diet.
This platform is meant to educate Tokkyo Nutrition consumers with the information needed to help you stay mentally and physically healthy.
