Gluten Diet Craze

The Gluten Diet Craze

The gluten free diet has become the fad diet of the decade. It has actually grown out of control. Every package you see in the stores is labeled gluten free. Just about every one of them, anyway. There’s gluten free water, gluten free hairspray, gluten free soap, and yes guys, gluten free condoms.
Here’s my issue with this. Gluten free diets were created for those individuals who suffer from Celiac disease. Celiac disease is an immune disease which affects the small intestine of people who ingest products with gluten, especially products such as wheat, rye, and barley.
So, I highly doubt that unless you are eating soap or hairspray, your small intestine will be affected by this. And guys, I have never heard of the necessity of wearing a gluten free condom unless you have eaten turkey on rye with your dick and had small bowel reaction. So…. please. Even explaining this is painful.
For those of you who don’t exactly know what gluten is, let me explain. Gluten is not one singular thing, but a group of proteins which occur in the starch of breads. Now, let’s break this ridiculousness down to other products that are gluten free, for who knows what reason. And here’s a little hidden secret; gluten is a gut issue, which comprises a tiny portion of the population compared to the million’s companies are making by marketing the gluten free concept.
Now back to my original point. Products that are gluten free that truly should not be.
- Water – Really? Water is called H2O for obvious reasons. It is made of three atoms, two hydrogen and one oxygen.
- Soap – Holy shit! So, if I wash my ass, I will end up with small bowel issues? Ah…NO! Soap is made up of basic ingredients; such as this basic oil soap. It contains palm oil, coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil, water, lye and fragrance oil.
- Hair Spray – Ok, seriously? I don’t even know where to start with this one. Let me just say I have never added PVP, vegetable gums, alcohol, hydrocarbons, among other things, to my turkey sandwich.
- And now for the big winner – gluten free condoms. WTF! Benzocaine, Casein, Dry dusting powder, oh so sexy, but yet another few ingredients I wouldn’t add to my toast in the morning.
As you can see, and if you do a little bit of your own homework, I can promise you, you will not find gluten ingredients in such “gluten free” labeled products. The gluten free diet is very chic and modern, but unnecessarily expensive.
It is a marketing scheme and it has cha-ching written all over it. You have become a Marketer’s dream and fed into your confusion and into their pockets by buying all gluten free products.
Part of the population that contains the gluten allergy is actually a fraction of those that have a sensitivity or intolerance, and those numbers aren’t very clear since the craze has altered results of polls.
“By 2016, Americans are expected to spend more than $15 billion on gluten-free products, with up to one-third telling pollsters they’re trying to cut gluten from their diets.” – Julia Belluz, Vox
Pollsters are trying to cut gluten from their diet, but do they know why actually. If you don’t have Celiac disease, why follow the craze? People gravitate with what’s popular, regardless of how insane the concept and the expense.
If you are wondering if Tokkyo Products are gluten free, it is simply stated because not many know that Whey in Protein is actually gluten free. Various customers messaged us asking, so we posted it in our website to alleviate any concerns. But we are quite clear in stating that our products don’t contain gluten because they are simply not manufactured with products that contain gluten.
I can only hope this opens your eyes, even if a little bit, if you are one of those individuals leaving your precious time and payroll check stuck at the grocery store purchasing every item gluten free. But no worries, Charmin is gluten free, so please feel safe and wipe your ass.
This platform is meant to educate Tokkyo Nutrition consumers with the information needed to help you stay mentally and physically healthy.
