Be Real With Yourself
By Christian Duque
Is a luxury sports car going to run on cheap gasoline? Are prized rosebushes going to grow on cheap fertilizer? Are you going to get the same restful sleep you’d get on a memory foam bed as you would on a hammock? The truth of the matter is that you get what you pay for, you get only get as much as you give. If you train like a bum, you’re gonna feel crap. If you eat crap, you’re probably going to look like…, well, you get my point.
At Tokkyo Nutrition, our number one goal isn’t cutting corners. Our clientele wants quality, because our clientele consists of pro-runners, strength athletes, and physique-based competitors. Our people are our family. We can’t give them trash supplements. We want your business and we know that we often times won’t be the best price, but we’ll always be the best quality.
Many moons ago, sports supplements were next to impossible to find. I’m talking pre-internet, even pre-GNC. Today, it’s the polar opposite. Today, you can walk into any Walmart or Target, hell, you can even walk into some gas stations, and find creatine, protein, and pre-workout. That’s not to say you’re going to find quality, but you’ll have convenience; however, therein lies the problem.
Bodybuilding isn’t about convenience. Bodybuilding isn’t about saving money. Bodybuilding, strength-based sports, and all athletic activity that I know of, is about reaching for excellence. The only way to achieve that, is through solid training, solid diet, and solid supplements – don’t kid yourself thinking otherwise. Be real with yourself.
